About the Role Our client is seeking enthusiastic individuals to embark on a career as Instrumentation Apprentices in Upington . This apprenticeship program offers comprehensive training in the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of process control instrumentation used in industrial settings. You will work closely with experienced instrument technicians, learning to manage sensors, transmitters, control valves, and other critical equipment. This role is ideal for those with a strong technical aptitude, an interest in electronics and control systems, and a desire for a stable career in vital industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities Assist in the installation and commissioning of new instrumentation systems. Learn to calibrate and test various types of measurement and control instruments. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on instrumentation loops. Read and interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and technical manuals. Ensure safe working practices and compliance with industry standards for instrumentation. Requirements Grade 12 or equivalent, with strong passes in Mathematics, Physical Science, and ideally, Technical subjects. A keen interest in electronics, control systems, and industrial processes. Good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. Ability to work meticulously and follow complex procedures. Willingness to commit to the full apprenticeship and associated theoretical studies.
