The Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) seeks a Regulations Officer Intern to support regulatory compliance, enforcement, and litigation under the Social Housing Act. Your Role Key responsibilities include: • Assist the Regulations Manager and Legal Officer in managing the Regulations Function to ensure compliance with the Social Housing Act and Regulations. • Support enforcement and monitoring activities mandated by the Social Housing Act No. 16 of 2008 and its Regulations. • Provide legal advice and support on SHRA regulatory compliance, enforcement engagements, and litigation matters. • Conduct inspections and investigations related to contraventions of the Social Housing Act and Regulations. • Assist in litigation by gathering evidence, preparing case materials, and supporting legal representatives. • Draft, compile, and review legal documentation including contracts and administrative enforcement documents. • Conduct initial contract reviews, coordinate contract distribution, and track deliverables and budget allocations. • Represent SHRA at relevant forums, conduct research for representation, and report on outcomes. • Respond to complaints regarding non-compliance with Social Housing legislation. About You The company is looking for: • Grade 12 and a recognized NQF Level 8 qualification in Legal Discipline (LLB, B Proc, or BCom Law). • Valid driver’s license (advantageous) and willingness to travel. • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Exper
