About the role This year-round internship supports the transportation network for fresh and frozen shipments, including rendered products. The role focuses on balancing service and cost to maintain on-time delivery while minimizing overall transportation expenses. You will work as a self-starter to solve problems and provide visibility to meet established business goals. What you'll do • Support transportation projects focused on service improvement, visibility, process improvement, and workflow simplification. • Execute projects related to mode of transportation optimization, service and cost initiatives, adaptable supply chains, end-to-end export visibility, and process improvements. • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Operations, Finance, Strategy, Procurement, Systems, Safety, Personnel, and Legal/Compliance. • Meet with new and current stakeholders to drive initiatives. • Execute projects that support the Export and Bulk Transportation business plan. What you'll need • Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or MBA student with at least one year of school remaining. • Preferred majors include Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Science, Agriculture, or Transportation. • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint. • Strong work ethic, leadership skills, and the ability to work well in a team. • Previous work experience is preferred.
